About the event
Just as a hymnal collects the beliefs of a faith community, composer David Lang’s work Poor Hymnal collects psalms, proverbs, and quotes by leaders like Mother Theresa and Mahatma Ghandi that profess our collective belief in the importance of caring for the most vulnerable among us. The choir will present this striking modern work and inspired audience members can stay afterwards to partake in a short community service project.
